About Me
Empowering People and Businesses
My name is Adam Sova, and apart from being a bookkeeper and a certified advanced Quickbooks Proadvisor, I also work as a registered dietitian. I entered this field in order to provide people with whom I interact knowledge which would allow them to take control of their health. Making intelligent dietary choices can act as a sort of “preventative maintenance” measure for good health all throughout life.
If a patient, to make a very simple example, is pre-diabetic (blood sugar high enough to where they are at the threshold of having full-on diabetes), replacing sugary, starchy desserts with fruit on most days goes a long way over time toward bringing blood sugar down in the long-term. Perhaps a patient likes to have a rich, sugary snack prior to bed, such as ice cream. Maybe on most days, the patient could switch this up for Oikos Triple Zero Greek yogurt with nuts and berries. Small changes such as these both contribute to the same goal–prevention of the potentially life-altering (and not to mention expensive) problem of type 2 diabetes. You see, even very simple changes such as these give a person back control through less time and money spent in the healthcare system.
CosMax Books LLC
Ok, so what does this have to do with bookkeeping services? Throughout my eight years as a registered dietitian, it has become abundantly clear that improper diet is not the only lifestyle factor affecting human health--I would even go as far as saying that failing to manage chronic stress is just as detrimental for one’s health as an improper diet. In fact, they even play off one another–the more chronic stress is part of our lives, the more likely we are to select overly palatable processed foods (high in energy, but relatively low in vitamins, minerals, fiber, and protein–AKA empty calories).
I’ve always had a great deal of respect for business owners. There’s a lot to admire about those who are willing to go out on their own in order to make their own money and answer only to themselves. However, wherever there is freedom, you can usually bank on there being additional responsibility that comes with it.
Day-to-day operation, marketing, attempting to grow the business, and managing finances all serve to increase the level of chronic stress faced by business owners. When most started their businesses, they likely pictured the grind more like fighting to make those extra sales rather than staring at the books after hours.
CosMax Books LLC represents not only my chance to be a business owner myself, but to help other business owners like I’ve helped patients. By enlisting my services, I take bookkeeping responsibilities off the table, preserving your time, effort, and mental bandwidth for operating and growing your business.
